I had dinner there with my husband and I have to say that the food was excellent and the service was absolutely awesome. I will definitely be going back again. The french ambiance was pleasant. I truly enjoyed myself. Thank you!

I had the Beef Tenderloin, medium. It was PERFECT. Oh my God!!!

Admittedly, when I first walked into the place I almost turned around because it looks really kinda basic.

But the FOOD!!! Amazing. This place is at least on par with Clark's on King, or Clark's By The Bay back when they used to be open and anyone who knows food between Toronto and Montreal knows what I am talking about.

I've often had lunch there, and can heartily recommend the roast-beef-and-Brie sandwich (on home-made baguette, no less), the soup of the day, and the chocolate-mousse-filled creampuffs ... actually, everything is good. Don't forget -- Saturday morning is Croissant Day! A croissant and a coffee at L'Auberge de France may just be one of the best ways invented to start a weekend.

A taste of France right in the heart of downtown Belleville. Excellent food, service and choice of wines. Jean Marc is very talented and Pascal is second to none.

I have had several meals at this delightful interlude in life. The Chef, Jean Mark, is talented and flexible. The cuisine is varied and gifted. One can enjoy a multi-course meal or stop in for coffee and a pastry. Bravo!

An incredible fine in Belleville, Ontario. We are constantly beig drawn back to this French Bistro by a colleague and vet in Belleville. Even if you cannot stay you can indeed take it with you.

It's funny, my friend had the Bouillabaisse just last month when she was visiting L'Auberge, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. And she's actually from Marseille. Hmmmm...

My wife and I had dinner at this location on August 29th. We both ordered Terrine de campagne which was very good. I ordered 'Bouillabaisse Marseille' which did not resemble this traditional dish at all. It was served in a soup bowl which contained one shrimp,one scallop,a slice of fish,three miniscule mussels, a couple of onions and four pieces of boiled potato, all in a brown slightly fishy gravey. My wife had the braised veal which she claimed was tres ordinaire.The bill which included two liquers, two coffees and a bottle of Pouilly Fume was $154.33. I foolishly left a $ 20.00 tip. We will not return.

I am from Vancouver and I love good food. I have eaten at some wonderful restaurants all over the world, and the food here was no exception. I found the food here fantastic! I had a wonderful goat cheese salad (with a lavender dressing and Nasturtium) then I had the bouillabaisse. Very fresh, with a hint of saffron and this bread that you dip into the sauce. I was very close to picking up the dish and licking it!

First of all, thank-you for the compliment on our great food and atmosphere the Chef (my partner) is very talented and classically trained.
My name is Valerie Niles and I am one half of the ownership team. The server involved was not the owner, but rather a very good friend of ours who has been helping us through some very difficult times (see www.aubergedefrance.ca for details).

where it got dissapointing was the service. At the end as the bill was presented to two couples it was ASSUMED it was one bill, when we asked to split it the server (I think he's the owner) got rude. we realize it takes extra steps to fix this but a simple reenter with do not make on thePOS can fix this. Also Visa Mastercard or Amex weren't posted and this created more problems as AMEX wasn't there. After all when you drop 150$ per couple even with bill mix-up you keep smiling and the customer is always right. Our company will not return due to this.
